Security Risk & Vulnerability Assessments

FSI recognises that each client will face different risks and therefore have different security requirements.  Understanding risks and the impact they may have on a client or project requires consultants with experience.

FSI’s Security Risk consultants have a wealth of experience, globally, in the evaluation of risk and the subsequent design of security solutions to mitigate those identified risks.  FSI has worked with a variety of clients, using well recognised processes to guide decision-making, as well as using its own bespoke process for more challenging circumstances.

Our approach to SRAs is to assess premises using the Effects-Based Security Design (EBSD) principles.  The main effects within EBSD are Deter, Detect, Delay, Mitigate and Respond. However, these are not limitless and other ‘effects’ are often used to describe how a security measure will mitigate / control a threat (i.e. influence, neutralize, strike, disrupt, protect, monitor). Ultimately, the objective of the holistic security measures is to ‘deny’ a threat enactor from achieving their goal.

As part of our SRA service FSI will:

  • Conduct a complete site security survey
  • Consultation with key stakeholders
  • Provide an overarching security summary
  • Review of the high-level risks and the more local / tactical risks at the site
  • Provide local crime reports for specific sites
  • Review of the physical measures in place against those risks
  • Review the systems and protocols
  • Identify gaps and improvement options
  • Make recommendations for improved security
  • Introduce tech providers where relevant

This comprehensive service gives our clients a clear list of risks and options to mitigate those risks with the best possible success rate.
